The Content Clarity Framework: 5 Steps to generate ONGOING FRESH IDEAS

Hey there, Coach, Teacher, Healer, or Sustainable Entrepreneur!

Do you sometimes find yourself wondering what to post next on LinkedIn or Instagram? The first thing to do in these cases is to reconnect with your Why.

If you’re not sure about your big Why, give your self a couple of minutes to self reflect, and ask yourself these 3 questions:

  • If you could serve anyone you really want to work with, who would that be?

  • Why do you want these people to grow in business?

  • What would that change positively on earth?

Now that you’ve (re)connected with your Why, I'm happy to share below the Content Clarity Framework with you today. This game-changing system is built for you to not run out of ideas again.

The Challenge of Consistent Content Creation

If you have a digital brand presence, you’ve been there: the pressure to constantly produce fresh, engaging content can be overwhelming.

But here's the thing: consistent content is key to building your audience and growing your business. So how do we make it happen without feeling exhausted or overwhelmed?

Step 1: Define Your Content Pillars

First things first, let's establish your content pillars. These are 3-5 core topics that align with your expertise and resonate with your audience.

For example, if you're a health coach, your pillars might be nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and lifestyle habits. Let me give you some more examples to get your creative juices flowing:

If you're a wellness coach focusing on holistic health, your pillars might be:

  • Nutritional balance and intuitive eating

  • Mind-body connection and stress management

  • Natural energy boosters and sleep optimization

  • Sustainable lifestyle changes and habit formation

  • Self-care practices and emotional wellbeing

These pillars cover a wide range of topics within the wellness niche, allowing you to create diverse content that addresses different aspects of your clients' health and wellbeing. They provide a perfect mix of practical advice and deeper, more transformative concepts.

For instance, under "Nutritional balance and intuitive eating," you could create content about understanding hunger cues, the basics of a balanced plate, or debunking popular diet myths.

The "Mind-body connection" pillar could include posts about meditation techniques, the impact of stress on physical health, or simple yoga poses for relaxation.

If you're a yoga teacher specializing in corporate wellness, your pillars could look like this:

  • Desk-friendly yoga poses

  • Stress management techniques

  • Breathing exercises for focus and productivity

  • Mindfulness practices for the workplace

  • Ergonomics and body awareness at work

If you're a business coach focusing on female entrepreneurs, your pillars might be:

  • Mindset and personal development

  • Business strategy and planning

  • Financial management for small businesses

  • Work-life balance for entrepreneurs

  • Marketing and branding for women-owned businesses

See how these pillars cover a range of topics within each niche? They provide a solid foundation for creating diverse, yet focused content that serves your specific audience.

Action step: Grab a pen and paper and brainstorm your potential content pillars.

Remember, these should reflect your passion and expertise while addressing your audience's needs. Don't worry about getting it perfect You can always refine these over time as you learn more about what resonates with your audience.

Step 2: Create an Idea DATABASE

Now that you have your pillars, it's time to start filling your idea database. This is your go-to resource for content inspiration. Here are some methods to get those ideas flowing:

  • Mind mapping: Start with a pillar and branch out with related subtopics.

  • Consume content: Read books, listen to podcasts, and watch videos in your niche. What sparks ideas?

  • Observe daily life: Inspiration is everywhere – jot down ideas as they come to you. This one is often an understimated one!

Let’s have a look at some examples:

Pro tip: You can use a tool like Notes, Trello or Notion to organize your ideas under each content pillar.

Step 3: Implement the "Question Mining" Technique

Your audience is a goldmine of content ideas, you just need to know how to tap into it.

Browse relevant forums and Facebook groups

  • How to find Facebook groups:

    • Use Facebook's search bar and type in keywords related to your niche

    • Click on the "Groups" tab in the search results

    • Look for groups with active discussions and a good number of members

  • How to search inside Facebook groups:

    • Once you've joined a group, use the search bar at the top of the group page

    • Enter keywords related to your content pillars

    • Look for posts with lots of comments or reactions

  • Some forums to consider (depending on your niche):

    • Reddit (subreddits related to your topic)

    • Quora

    • Stack Exchange (for more technical topics)

    • Warrior Forum (for digital marketing)

    • Mumsnet (for parenting and family topics)

    • MyFitnessPal Forums (for fitness and nutrition)

  • How to use forums:

    • Search for keywords related to your content pillars

    • Look for frequently asked questions or topics with lots of engagement

    • Pay attention to the language people use to describe their problems

Use tools like Answer the Public

What is Answer the Public? Answer the Public is a free online tool that visualizes search questions and suggested autocomplete searches in an image called a search cloud.

  • How to use Answer the Public:

    • Go to answerthepublic.com

    • Enter a keyword related to your content pillar

    • The tool will generate a visual map of questions people are asking about that topic

    • You can view the results as a visualization, data, or download as a CSV

  • Other similar tools:

    • BuzzSumo Question Analyzer

    • AlsoAsked.com

    • KeywordTool.io

  • Tips for using these tools:

    • Start with broad keywords, then narrow down to more specific terms

    • Look for questions that align with your expertise and audience needs

    • Use the questions as inspiration for blog posts, social media content, or product ideas

Survey your email list

If you have an email list, create a simple survey using tools like Google Forms or SurveyMonkey

Keep it short (5-7 questions max) to encourage completion

Include open-ended questions like:

  • "What's your biggest challenge with [your niche topic]?"

  • "What would you like to learn more about?"

  • "If you could ask me one question about [your niche], what would it be?"

  • Send the survey to your email list with an engaging subject line

  • Offer an incentive for completion (e.g., a free guide or chance to win a consultation)

  • Analyze responses to identify common themes and questions

Remember, if one person is asking a question, chances are others are wondering the same thing! The key is to listen to your audience's actual questions and concerns.

Step 4: Establish a "Content Rhythm"

Consistency is key, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Create a sustainable content creation schedule that works for you. Maybe it's one blog post and three social media posts per week. Whatever you choose, stick to it.

Pro tip: Batch your content creation. Set aside one day to create multiple pieces of content, then schedule them out. Hello, freedom!
